Sanggunian Project Grant System

Committee on Finance and Data-gathering

Sanggunian Project Grant System

Guidelines and Procedures

Rationale:

The Sanggunian ng mga Mag-aaral ng mga Paaralang Loyola ng Ateneo de Manila, as the sole student government of the Loyola Schools, invites its constituent sectors, groups and organizations to participate in its own project grant system. The Sanggunian Project Grant System was born out of the reality that in pursuing the realization of the four pillars of the Sanggunian vision – Academic excellence, Cultural rootedness, Spiritual maturity, Social involvement – the Sanggunian must support student groups that respond to the same vision. The Sanggunian is empowered to provide financial support to such groups as stipulated by Article XVI, Section 6 of the Constitution of the Sanggunian.

Description and Background:

The Sanggunian Project Grant System will have two components: (1) vision-aligned grants; and (2) special advocacy grants. This School Year, the special advocacy of the Sanggunian will be one of its flagship projects, the Ateneo Task Force 2010. This is in recognition of the emergent need for more student involvement and the critical role of the youth in the upcoming National Elections on May 2010.
